What is Impossible Occurrences?

An intimate 75- 80 minute performance featuring amazing magic, illusions and mind reading. Some audience members may be asked to participate in the show but are by no means forced. Luke’s performance style is warm and friendly.

When does the show run?

In most cases Impossible Occurrences runs every Friday night with 7:30 or 9:30pm showtimes. In peak season these dates may vary slightly. For those that book dinner & show, dinner seating times are 6pm or 8pm. This is explained further when you book.

Does the show change?

Impossible Occurrences began in July 2014. Some of the show material has changed and varied over the years a little, but it has never been advertised as a new show. If you have seen the show before and come back it is likely you will see a similar show again.

How does Dinner & Show Work?

Everything takes place the Marriott hotel, dinner & show happen in two separate rooms. Dinner will be served at Essence restaurant 90 minutes before the show time. After dinner you will be escorted across the hall to the show room. Dinner seating times are 6pm or 8pm, you will be asked to choose one when you make a booking. We can cater for dietary requirements. You will have an option to note your dietary requirements when you make a booking.

The restaurant is strictly licenced, all food and beverage is to be purchased at the restaurant, no other food is allowed to be brought in such as cake etc.

Bar & Drinks Service

There is the lovely M Bar at the Marriott Hotel. You will walk through the bar to get to the showroom. Drinks can be purchased before the show and brought into the showroom. There is no bar service in the show room or during the show.

Is there a dress code?

We suggest dressing smart when attending the performance, just as you would dress for any other theatre show.

Is there any age restrictions?

The show is suited for ages 10 plus, this is not a children’s magic show. Although there is no profanity or adult themes in the show, it is aimed at a mature audience. This is not a show suitable for younger children.

But can I bring a 5 or 6 year old?

We get a question similar to this almost every day. In summary it is not recommended. The show goes for 80 minutes, they may have difficulty seeing if they are little and may get restless. The show room is intimate so if they are disruptive they will need to removed from the show by a parent / guardian.

Ultimately you know your little one best so this is at your discretion, but we do not recommend children younger than 10 years.

Where is the show and how do I get to the venue?

Each performance is held at the The Marriott Hotel Melbourne, Exhibition St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia, only a short walk from Parliament station. VIEW MAP
